We have lots of exciting things coming up in the next few days and want to make sure everyone has heard about them. We hope everyone is enjoying the last beautiful breaths of Colorado summer, but to be honest, fall is exciting too because it means that harvest season is here!
On Friday, Sept. 17 from 6-9 pm at Earthlinks – 2828 Larimer, GrowLocal Colorado, who’s mission is to promote local food, local community and local economy, will be hosting “Growing our Urban AgriCULTURE” Harvest Potluck and Networking Party. The potluck party will celebrate the 2010 Grow Local Colorado Edible Gardens in Denver Parks project and honor the volunteers who made them a success. This is an incredible event that we highly recommend!
On Saturday, September 18th from 9am to 2pm, Denver Handmade Homemade Market, in conjunction with Arthur Brock and the Mile High Business Alliance, will be hosting the 2nd installment of our alternative currency workshop and practicum series. Hosted by Arthur Brock, internationally recognized expert on alternative and complementary currencies, this workshop will focus on practical tools to creating an alternative currency here in Denver and in your local communities! Come with a dish to share at the potluck lunch. For a map visit the Mile High Business Alliance website.
And finally, we are excited to announce a new partnership with the Greater Good Academy. The GGA hosts an 8-week business development program for Denver area entrepreneurs from underserved communities in how to use sustainable and triple bottom line business thinking and practices to become more profitable. The fall Academy runs from September 21st to November 9th. If you are interested please visit the website! This is an incredible opportunity for our members and vendors to take their business idea to the next level and learn in a hands-on environment.
Thanks everyone. Hope the days are passing slowly!
